Great start to the day today. Saw several long trains traveling through the mountains. Such a beautiful way to get going. The only thing that sucked about being where we were was finding food. There were no fast food places at the exit of our Hotel, which we found surprising. We got on the road and after a few exits we saw a sign that said McDonalds exit 289. We were happy to see this until we realized we were at exit 356. Yes, that's right, 80ish miles away was the closest McDonalds. We couldn't believe that 1, it was that far away, and 2, they would advertise for it. After traveling farther we realized why. When you are in the middle of no where you have to know how far away food is. We also saw a sign for Burger Kind 47mi. Fortunately after about 25min on the road we found a Subway. Pretty darn good breakfast.

On our trip we saw the famous cliff that looks like an Indians profile.

I wish the pictures actually showed it better. We saw tons of beautiful mountain scenes on our drive. The was one of the pull offs. Fortunately they stopped because my duck bladder is small and I had to pee like you wouldn't believe.
Later on we finally got to the hotel and Phoenix. Found a nice place not far from the convention center. We had a nice lunch at an English Pub, then came back and had pipes and whiskey on the veranda. By veranda I mean on the sidewalk outside of our room.

Tomorrow we are off to the Grand Canyon. Woo Hooo
